Forrest, Cristina, and Alex are the dream team for a movie; flexible, hard-working, and dynamic, filming "Free Lunch" was a success because of their leadership and vision. Produced during Covid, this feature-length film was shot locally in Downey by a skeleton crew with true grit.
The Cast
The cast of "Free Lunch" was an energetic one! Filmed on-site at a school, it truly felt like these kiddos were lifelong friends (and they definitely left set as such). Lead actress Jovie Leigh won Best Young Actress for her role as Sadie, lead actor Connor William Barrett won Best Young Actor, and the cast won Best Youth Ensemble at the iHollywood Film Festival in 2023.
